When examining your feet and you notice that you don’t see any type of arch and the bottom of your foot from your toes to your heel is flat, then you most probably have flat feet. Do I Need New Running Shoes?
Typically you should replace your running shoes after roughly 500 to 600 miles of running. So for example, if you run 5 miles 3 times a week this would mean that you would need to replace your running shoes every 8 to 10 months.
You can do a simple test at home to see if your running shoes need replacing by doing the “kitchen bench inspection method”. Basically, take your running shoes and place them on your kitchen counter top, if you can rock your shoe with one finger on the heel or if you can see that the midsole of the shoe has compressed that is usually a good telltale sign that it’s time to buy a new pair of running shoes.
